Roberto Tamez, 92, of Fort Collins, passed away February 18, 2013. Mr. Tamez was born January 4, 1921 in San Benito, Texas to Felipa Chamberlain. Robert married Nieves Garza in June of 1944 in Harlingen, Texas. He was the father of Lupe Tere, Chris Dee, Jesse Anita, Rick Norma, Robert, Jr. and Dolores. Grandfather of thirteen and great grandfather of eighteen. Mr. Tamez moved to Fort Collins in 1967. He was a veteran and served in the Army. Robert worked as a concrete layer. He enjoyed John Wayne movies, fishing and baseball. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
