Roberto (Robert/Bob) Luis Jaramillo of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away Friday, August 16, 2024, at the age of 81. He was a beloved husband, father, friend and neighbor who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Robert was born on September 20, 1942 in Fort Collins, where he lived his entire life. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968. He retired from Colorado State University after 32 years as a Baker and incredible cake decorator. Throughout his career at CSU and other local bakeries, he was known for his hard work and dedication.
But more than anything, Robert was a devoted grandfather and great grandfather. Seth and Justin meant the world to him and Ariya was the center of his universe. He loved spending time with his family, sharing stories, playing rummy, and telling bad "dad jokes".
In his free time, Robert was an avid fisherman, loved gardening and showing his yard, roses, and train to passers-by. Watching football was one of his favorite past-times and his favorite teams were the Chicago Bears and CSU Rams. For many years he held season tickets for CSU Football.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie, his children, Michael Jaramillo, and Angela Priest and husband Bryan, his grandchildren, Seth Romero and wife Emily, Justin Romero, Trevor Priest, Kaitlyn Priest, and his great grandchildren Ariya Romero and Riley Priest. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 9:00am with a Service at 10:00 am at Bohlender Funeral Chapel (121 W. Olive St.), followed by a lunch at the American (2124 County Rd 54G) at 12:00pm.
"I didn't have a lot of money, but I had a lot of fun", Robert Jaramillo.
