Robert Eugene Wheeler, Sr., 87, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 17 due to natural causes.
Robert was born on August 27, 1931 in Worthington, Ohio and was a 1949 graduate of Worthington High School.
Robert was a member of the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC.
He was married to his wife of 62 years Dorothy Kuemmerlin of Ft. Collins CO.
They raised their family of three children Janet, Gregg and Bob Jr. in Fort Collins, CO.
Robert worked for Colorado State University for 25 years and was retired since 1985.
Robert was preceded in death by his son Gregg, wife Dorothy and daughter Janet.
He is survived by his son Bob Jr. and daughter-in-law Carla Wheeler, Grandchildren Casey Flower and (Tina), Katie Wheeler, Rae Collins and (Jason), Chandler Wheeler and Kendall Wheeler and numerous great grandchildren.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he and Dorothy could always be found cheering on the CSU Rams basketball and football teams.
