Robert "Bob" Duane Wagner passed away peacefully on September 16, 2018 at the age of 81. He was surrounded by loved ones. Bob was born on May 28, 1937 and was raised in the Fort Collins area as were his parents before him. Some of his happiest memories were of growing up on a farm. He married Elaine Marie Vaughn on May 28, 1962. They were married 56 years.
Following U.S. Army service time, Bob received a degree from Aims Community College. He then worked for the Poudre Valley REA and Ideal Cement Companies.
A disabling horseback accident in 1985 caused Bob to change his lifestyle. He then aided his wife, Elaine, in her caregiving business. In his later years, he pursued his passions of oil painting, World War II aircraft, and old western movies.
Bob will be best remembered for being a loving husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a kind friend. His quick smile and unique sense of humor were his own.
Bob is survived by his wife, Elaine, 3 sons, Rob (Donna), Chuck (Annette), Joe (Michele), and 6 wonderful grandchildren. Also included are his brother, Don Wagner (Sharon and family of Ault, Co.) and sister, Carol Wagner Sidman (and family of Stockton, Ca.)
