Robert "Bob" Leroy Twito passed away August 28, 2010 at a local nursing home. Bob was born in Glenville, Minnesota on November 29, 1931 to Kenneth Twito and Betty Anderson Twito. He attended school in Northwood, Iowa until he joined the US Army in 1947 where he remained for 11 years. He spent time in San Antonio, TX after coming back from Okinawa, Japan. He worked in the Postal Department until he was honorably discharged in 1958. He moved to Colorado and became an over the road truck driver until he retired in 2003. There was not a road he did not travel. If you asked where he was he always knew the highway and what mile marker he had just passed. He loved to tell stories of his over the road adventures. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; his mother, Betty; brother, Kenneth, Jr.; and son, John. He is survived by his wife, Ernestine; sons, Ronald Tammy, TroyDawn, Jaime Marleen, Chris Wanita, and Mark Kerrie; daughters, Kathy Twito, Toni Ganison Stevie, and Joann Twito; 34 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson; 3 sisters, Delores Goodrich, Beverly Twito, and Sharon Twito, and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at Sierra Vista Nursing Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment with Military Honors by the Fort Collins All Veterans Honor Guard will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery. Those who desire may view Mr. Twito, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
