Robert (Bob) M. Sadd 86 of Fort Collins passed away March 27, 2018 at MCR surrounded by his family.
Robert was born April 14, 1931 in Shelton, NE to Ruby and Elwood Sadd.
Robert served in the Air Force from 1950 -1953 during the Korean War as an Airman 2nd Class Electrical Specialist, as well as 10 years in the Air Force Reserves.
On December 27, 1956 Robert married the love of his life Beverly (Bev) R Billesbach in Minden, NE. To this union 6 children were born. Michele Sadd - Fort Collins, Rebecca Mutz (Andy) Littleton, CO; Gregory (Marcella) Wellington, CO; Natalie Anderson - Greeley, CO; Kathleen Berry (Kevin) Johnstown, CO, and Julie Sadd - Fort Collins.
Robert and Bev moved to Fort Collins in 1958, Robert drove a truck for John Kirk. In 1960 Robert was employed by Don Ward & Company, after 37 years of trucking Robert retired.
After retirement Robert enjoyed spending his days with Bev, fishing, and watching his beloved Nebraska Huskers.
When Robert was not on the road, he volunteered many hours at St. Joseph's Catholic School, driving a bus for field trips or lending a helping hand to the Sister's at St. Joseph's Convent.
Robert, never met a person he didn't know, and could carry a conversation with anyone. Robert had a contagious laugh and smile that could light up any room. Above all, Robert treasured his family. Frying chicken on Saturday nights was a treat his family loved. Robert enjoyed returning home to Nebraska for family reunions, sharing stories of his younger days on the farm, or the days he spent in the Air Force or driving his truck.
Robert is survived by his 6 children; 8 grandchildren: Joseph (Samantha), Danielle, Nicholas, Tami, Jena (Joey), Jacob (Sarah), Kyle, Jamie (Sy), Kelly(Jordan) and Anna. He is also survived by his 8 great grandchildren: Stella, Remi, RJ, Emma, Kori, Julian, Derek, and Zoe. Robert is also survived by his sister, Loretta Sinsel of Lincoln, NE; sister-in-law, Vivienne Wissing of Fort Collins, 9 nieces, 13 nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Bev; his parents, Ruby and Elwood; brother, George and granddaughter, Audra.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery with full Military Honors. Reception will follow interment at Knights of Columbus, 121 N. Meldrum, Fort Collins, Co.
