Listen to Obituary
Robert "Bob" Edward Price, 82, passed peacefully in the company of his wife, Jean Eileen Price, and his son, Mitchell Edward Price on May 24th, 2026 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 27th, 1944, Bob grew up to serve his country while on the USS Constellation in the Blue Water Navy from 1961-1965 and continued to protect his community in the Salt Lake City Fire Department from 1967-1990, during which time he served as a Battalion Chief and was later appointed as Fire Marshal, a position he maintained for nearly 5 years. After moving to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1991, Bob worked for the Bureau of Reclamation until his retirement in 1996; his contributions there further illustrate
his devotion to the safety and wellbeing of this nation and its population.

Bob was a son to Charles Edward Price and Ruth Marjory Price, a brother to Judith Louise Nielsen, and a father to 2 children, and later 3 grandchildren who continuously cherish their memories with him. Aside from his loving descendants, his legacy will always be tangible
in the stained glass art he crafted for nearly 30 years; their handcrafted beauty will survive him for generations to come.

In every facet of his life, Bob was not just a careful, smart, and kind individual— more, he was an improver; committed to putting great care and forethought into every project or passion he endeavored to complete. He was determined to leave everything he had in better condition than the way he found it.

Many of us who are still here have him to thank for having a house to call home, for a city that feels safe, and for the country that sustains our ways of life. He never wanted any service or celebration in his name, so instead, every once in a while just remember who he was and think to yourself, "Thanks, Bob."
