Robert Joseph Majeski, 85, of Fort Collins, died January 21, 2020 in Hospice at McKee Medical Center. Bob was born June 18, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Boleslaus Maciejewski and Lottie (Zalewski). He attended St. Christopher Elementary School and graduated from Blue Island High School in 1952.
Bob married the love of his life Kathryn Bauer on February 17, 1962 at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Midlothian, Illinois. They were married for 51 years before her passing in 2013.
Bob worked in the sheet metal trade while in Illinois. In 1973 he moved his family to Ft. Collins, Colorado and worked as a maintenance mechanic for Kodak until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He loved helping others. Bob drove for Meals on Wheels, was a Salvation Army volunteer, and supported many other charitable causes.
Bob is survived by his children; Robert Majeski (Teresa) of Loveland, Fredrick Majeski (Penny) of Loveland, and Laura Knaff (John) of Fort Collins. Grandchildren; Rachel and Rebecca Knaff, and Ryan Majeski. Brothers; David Maciejewski of Elkhart, Indiana, and Paul Maciejewski of Bristol, Indiana. A sister, Sue Perez of West Covina, California, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters; Rose Ann and Cecelia.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020, at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 2919 Wilson Avenue, Loveland, CO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pathways Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, CO, 80524.
