Robert L. Holzfaster
Born in Fort Collins in 05/04/1940 and passed one day after his birthday 05/05/2026 at the age of 86.
Bob is survived by his friends who keep his memory alive.
His great friend and MPA Jim had many nights going out to dinner 340 days a year sharing laughs, stories and talking about the changes of this town with Bob. Jim stayed to help Bob toward the end of his life. He continues to keep Robert's memory alive sharing stories at the places around Fort Collins where they enjoyed many dinners.
Bob worked as a librarian, even with some visual impairment he did not let that stop him as he held his position at the library for 30 years. He was also a big contributor to charities around Fort Collins, he was very generous and gave to multiple organizations of helpful groups every year.
Jim and close Friends would like to recognize the great staff at Morningstar in old town. They did a wonderful job tending to Robert the entire time he was there. Special thanks to Charleen, Aiden, and Fritz. They watched and tended to him going the extra mile to make sure Bob was comfortable.
Also, a special thank you to the hospice nurse Jessy who helped and stayed late to make sure things went as smooth as possible.
In lieu of flowers Jim would like you to donate to any charity around Fort Collins in remembrance of Robert.
