Robert Glenn Hauser passed away February 9, 2020. He was born in Benkelman, Nebraska on January 4, 1922.
He enlisted in the Army in October, 1942, 96th Infantry Division 361 Field Artillery and was Tech, 3rd Sergeant. He received wounds in Southern Philippines and received The Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars, and Honorable Discharge in January 1945.
He married Anna "Andrews" Hauser and a son was born, John Henry Hauser. Ann died of cancer and his second marriage was to Bonnie Hauser in 1966.
Glenn is survived by his wife, son, grandchildren; Joshua, Sean, and Anna, nephews; Pat Morris, Hunter, Hayden, and Brandon, two sisters; Cebe Taylor and Virginia Long.
He is preceded in death by his brothers; Paul and Henry; sisters Mattie Campen and Minnie Lee Lake; and nieces Janet Baird, Donna Morris, and Christian Bruno.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020 at First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover, preceded by Military Honors at 1:30 p.m. Donations in Glenn Hauser's memory may be made to highplainshonorflight.org.
