Robert Ronald Beichley, age 60, of Longmont Colorado, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011. Bob was born to Glenn and Mary Beichley on March 5, 1951 in Denver Colorado. He was the 3rd of 6 children. He grew up in the Metro Denver Area. Bob graduated in 1969 from Bear Creek High school, where he was an avid wrestler. He received his teaching degree from Ft Lewis College in Durango Colorado. Shortly after that, he went to work at Henderson Mine as a minor where he worked his way up to a lead electrician. Bob and his former wife, Nancy started a foster care home and eventually adopted 6 children, and many more were treated as their own. He was a loving and devoted father who worked 2 jobs to support his growing family. He dearly loved his children and would pray for them daily. His love for Jesus started as a child and continued throughout his life. He was a gentle spirit who served God and others tirelessly. Bob volunteered his time as Minster for Christ Body, a ministry for the homeless, and began a church in Georgetown. He was involved in mission trips around the country and to Africa. His life was lived as a ministry to others. Bob lived life to the fullest! He loved the outdoors, nature, fishing, camping, backpacking, golf, horseshoes, sports, shooting pool, playing cards, and traveling. He and his brothers were always building and creating tree houses, zip lines, go karts, and eventually a pigeon loft. They raised and then developed a serious love for racing pigeons. Bob was a very creative writer and story teller. He wrote poems and always loved to write letters and make his own cards. Bob had his own unique style and language in writing his letters. He was a beloved father, brother, friend, and follower of Christ. He is survived by his 5 children: Nick, Netty, Alyssa, Joyanna, and Stephanie; his father, Glenn; and his 5 siblings and their spouses: Bonnie Dick, Bill Trish, Doug Judy, Mary Jo Richard, and Dave Barb and his many beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary and his son Joel Thomas. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to: Food for the Poor and/or Christ Body. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 2300 South Patton Ct., Denver, Colorado on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
