Robert J. "Bob" Beck, 66, of Loveland, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 30, 2006, at Poudre Valley Hospital, following a two-year battle with cancer. His family and friends visited him during his long ordeal. Bob was born in Linden, N.J., and married his high school sweetheart in 1961. He served honorably in the U.S. Army. The family moved to Divide in 1973 and then to Loveland in 1982. Bob worked as a journeyman electrician and later a painting contractor. He loved to fish and taught the sport to his son, grandsons and others. He had a courageous spirit, winning smiles, loving heart and trusted in God. Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra E. Beck; son, Robert S. Beck, and wife, Tanya, of Tallahassee, Fla.; daughter, Cathy Westerhold, of Cary, N.C.; five grandchildren, Amanda and Erin Beck, Brian and Ben Westerhold, and Andrea Gheen; brother, John Beck and family, of Linden, N.J.; aunt, Glorai Skryha, of Rahway, N.J.; special cousin, Walt Schmiedeskamp; and loving nephews, nieces and cousins. The 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass on May 7 will be said for the repose of the soul of Robert Beck at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 300 W. Mountain Ave., Fort Collins.
