Listen to Obituary
On August 10, 2022, Robena Diane (Robbi) Cunningham, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandma, and aunt, passed away at the age of 71 after a battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Robbi was born May 10, 1951, to Warren and Olive Whitehead at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. The only daughter in a family of 6 children, Robbi quickly developed a sharp wit and tenacious spirit. A true Fort Collins native, she attended Washington Elementary and graduated from Poudre High School in 1969. In November of 1969 she married her high school sweetheart, Ken Cunningham. After a short stint in California and Washington where Ken completed his service in the Navy, they returned to Fort Collins in 1971 and together raised two children, Dean and Amanda.

Robbi had a successful 33 year career with Eastman-Kodak in Windsor where she held various positions, retiring as a supply chain manager in 2006. Ken and Robbi moved to Windsor from Fort Collins in 1997. Robbi truly loved the Colorado sun, sitting on her deck drinking coffee, going for walks and long bike rides. She enjoyed wandering through her yard and garden, lovingly cared for by Ken, and sitting on one of the many benches she placed throughout her yard. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed reading and listening to music.

Robbi loved her family and often said they were her greatest accomplishment. She was immensely proud of her children and fully embraced the role of mom and grandma. Robbi had the ability to temper any situation with her sense of humor and joy of life. Her laugh was infectious and everyone around her, especially her grandchildren, Peyton and Ainsley, benefited from her imagination, curiosity and creativity. Growing up in a family of musicians, music was an important part of Robbi's life and she shared that love with her family. In fact, she became known as "Lala" to her grandkids because she always had a song to sing.

Robbi had a curious, analytical mind and although she had her own opinions, she was always open to hearing others' ideas. Kind, thoughtful, and considerate of others, Robbi could carry on a conversation with anyone whether she knew them or not.

Robbi is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ken Cunningham, Windsor, CO; her son, Dean Cunningham (Cori Hixon), Fort Collins, CO; her daughter, Amanda Cunningham, Watertown, MA; her brothers, Denny Whitehead (Jan Thayer), Brady Whitehead (Carmen), Tom Whitehead (Nina), Bruce Whitehead (Becca Conrad), and Dwight Whitehead (Alyssa); her grandchildren, Peyton and Ainsley Cunningham, as well as many other dear family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Warren and Olive Whitehead.

A celebration of Robbi's life will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. At Robbi's request, consider this a true celebration of her life and wear casual attire and colorful clothing.
