Richard F. Stockton

Richard better known as Dick passed away at age 87 on July 3, 2011 in his home surrounded by his family. Dick was born June 23, 1924 in the Flint Michigan area. He went to high school in Detroit, Michigan. Dick served as a combat engineer in the Army during WWII, being involved in the Normandy landing and the rest of the campaign across Europe until the end of the war. He married Sally Valerius on July 6 , 1946. They moved to Colorado in 1947. They started to build their present home in 1948. He retired from Ideal Cement Company after over 30 years of employment. He enjoyed spending time with family, relaxing at the cabin in North Park, Colorado, fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Stockton of 65 years; two sons, Jim and his partner Connie, Jerry and his wife, Audrey; and 4 grandchildren, Kelly, Matt, Jessica and Levi. His sense of humor and loving kindness will be missed by all. A small memorial service will be held for family and friends at the Stockton's home.
