Richard (Dick) Peil, of Fort Collins, passed away on November 17, 2020 peacefully with family by his side at PVH. Dick was born on July 3, 1950 to Harold R Peil and Dorothy (Winick) Peil. He was born and raised in Fort Collins. Dick graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1968. Dick married Vicky (Sprick) Peil on September 7, 1969. They were married for 51 years and they made their home in Fort Collins.
Dick owned his own construction business for 35 years. He retired in 2013. Dick loved all sports and enjoyed watching and playing sports. He was a huge baseball and football fan. He loved playing fast pitch softball and played many years on the same team. He loved the many softball tournaments he attended and played in.
Dick enjoyed the outdoors and camping with his family and friends. He took great pride in his home, vehicles and his prized green lawn. He loved his John Deere tractor.
Dick was an animal lover and loved his dogs. He loved his lab Baxter and spoiled him rotten with treats and scratches.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky, daughters Roshelle (Jamey) Amdahl of Breckenridge, MN and Meagan (William Espinoza) Peil of Fort Collins and his grandsons Alexander Kurtz and Spencer Kurtz of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by one sister, Judy Taylor of Fort Collins, and loved by many nephews and nieces.
There will be a private family viewing. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Lung Association, American Heart Association or the Arthritis National Research Foundation in Richards name.
