Richard H. Parrish

Richard Parrish unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado.

Richard was born on May 26, 1965, in Winter Haven, FL, to George "Dick" and Jean Parrish. He grew up in Auburndale, FL, and attended Auburndale High School. After high school, he met his beloved Diann, and they married in 1986.

Richard and Diann started their family in central Florida and moved to South Carolina before settling in Wyoming in 2001. He was devoted to his family, community, and church. The family of 11 lived on and managed a ranch where there was always something to do. In addition to his duties on the ranch, Richard worked faithfully at his church. He took great pride in his garden and shared his harvest with others. Richard was a volunteer firefighter for over 20 years and the Department Chief for 13 of those years. He was remembered as one of the first on scene and always going the extra mile for the community.

Richard was an avid member of the F3 Laramie Group since September 2023. Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith are the pillars of the group. His strong faith was a constant source of strength, hope, and comfort to him and anyone he encountered. It's hard to summarize all the wonderful things Richard brought to those around him and his community.

He is survived by his wife Diann, and his children Derek (Catherine), Rebekah (Joseph), Seth (Maggie), Kimberly, David (Ariana), Sarah (Clayton), George (Kassidy), Caleb, and Victoria. His loving grandchildren are Ahlia, Iris, Owen, Kira, Amelia, and Astrid. o Richard is also survived by his siblings Linda (Jim), Donna (Gary), Tish (Bill), Brian (Jennafer), and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Caiman "Sawyer".

A private funeral will be held on Friday, September 12th, in Colorado. For more information, please contact Richard's family.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 pm on Saturday, September 13, at the Beef Pavilion - Albany County Fairgrounds in Laramie, Wyoming. The Parrish family would love anyone who knew Richard to come celebrate his life and love for the community.

Richard's family would like to thank the first responders, hospital staff at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, WY, and the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO.
