Rick Hoffman of Fort Collins was born in Chicago, IL on October 3, 1930 and died peacefully in his home on December 10, 2014. He was 84 years old. He is survived by his wife, Mary of 56 years and 6 children, Steve (Diane) Hoffman of Pleasanton, CA, Michael Hoffman of Parker, Joseph and (April) Hoffman of Fort Collins, Julie (David) Lewis of Denver, Timothy Hoffman of Little Rock, AR and Christina Hoffman of Fort Collins. He had 14 grandchildren.
He married in 1958 and moved to Fort Collins to attend CSU after serving in the Air Force. He worked for Mountain Bell, built the homes in Marix Estates, and was the owner-operator of Front Range Fence.
Rick was a fun-loving man with a whimsical sense of humor who enjoyed telling stories, pitching horseshoes, building his cabin, and spending time outdoors. He was a talented singer/song-writer, animal-lover, humorist, and lifelong Boy Scout at heart who we will deeply miss.
Funeral arrangements have been made by Bohlender Funeral Chapel and services will be at Saint Isidore Traditional Roman Catholic Church in Watkins, Colorado, 32100 E. Colfax Svc Road on Friday. A Rosary will be said at 1:00 and a low Mass will be at 1:30 with a private reception following. Interment with Military Honors, St. Isidore Cemetery.
