Ricky Henson 36, of Loveland, died at 10:46 pm, Sunday, July 23, 2023, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on North Garfield Avenue & West 64th Street in Loveland, Colorado.
He was born Richard Todd Henson Jr., on August 15, 1986, at PVH in Fort Collins, Colorado, and lived in Larimer County as a life long resident. His career as a Journeyman Plumber with the Plumber's Local #3 Union in Aurora, gave Ricky great pride, and he excelled in his chosen field. His talent was often requested.
Ricky is survived by his mother Lisa Cappeli Coppel and her partner Mike of Arvada; his father Richard "Rick" Henson of Loveland; his sister Carmina Aguirre of Florence, Italy; daughter Mackenzie Tykwinski Henson of Apple Valley, MN; daughter Zaniyah Henson DeOllos and son Isaiah Henson DeOllos of Loveland; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Carmina Coppel Anderson and Daniel Bryan Wood; and his paternal grandparents Carmella Mary Ortiz Baker and Bill Henson, and his Uncle Dan.
Many knew him as Ricky Bobby - Shake n Bake. He loved his children, the Raiders, his motorcycle, the plumbers local 3, "creative culinary", family & friends. He was a gentle giant with quick wit and humor that made everyone smile. Ricky's kind heart, willingness to help others and be a devoted friend will be cherished by all who knew him.
An intimate viewing was held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 2-4 pm. A Celebration of Life is planned on Ricky's birthday, 8/15/2023, from 4-8 pm, at the Associated Veterans of Loveland, 305 N. Cleveland Ave, Loveland, CO 80537. No alcohol is allowed. Parking is available at the Foundry Parking Garage on 2nd Street between Cleveland and Lincoln.
