Richard Paul Emery

Rick Emery, a Colorado native passed away on March 28th, 2025, at the age of 67. He was known for his love of the outdoors, his generous spirit, and his unwavering commitment to his family and friends.

A true lover of live music, Rick was especially drawn to the soulful sounds of the blues, which resonated deeply with him throughout his life. He had a deep love for fishing, spending countless hours on the water, where he found peace and joy. He was also an avid sports fan/Broncos fan, season ticket holder, and was able to attend Super Bowl 50, his top bucket list item.

In 1988, Rick purchased Lakeshore Marina Condos and moved to Fort Collins, where he became a beloved figure in the Horsetooth Reservoir community. In 1990 Rick met his wife Lori. With the help of his wife, he founded Ridgetop Builders Inc., a company that reflected his hard work, dedication, and love for craftsmanship.

He was also known for being a wonderful husband, father and friend —someone who could light up any room with his humor and kindness. He was thoughtful, resourceful, patient, and one-of-a-kind. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lori, and his three children: Auburn, Kyle, and Danielle. His mother, Carol Emery, and his siblings: Larry Emery (Suzanne) and Denise Emery-Ward.

May his spirit forever echo in the soothing waters of Horsetooth Reservoir and in the soulful notes of the blues.

Funeral Services will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 4th at 3:00pm, 121 W. Olive St, Fort Collins, CO 80524.
