Richard L. (Dick) Cornelius passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the Life Care Center in Longmont, Colorado.
Dick was born December 6, 1934 in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Prior to happily enjoying retirement, he was a successful business executive in the Food Service Industry for many years. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed golf outings with his buddies and summer visits to Long Beach Island, NJ. He was an avid sports fan of all sports, but especially loved the Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
Dick was a graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional High School Class of 1952 in Mt. Holly, NJ. He later attended the University of Pennsylvania for Business. He still remained in contact with some of his high school classmates up to the day of his passing.
Son of the late George L. and Marjorie A. Cornelius, he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Barbara M. Cornelius; a daughter Leslie Daveler and her husband Mike of Langhorne, PA.; a son Richard A. Cornelius and his wife Kelly of Ft. Collins, CO; a daughter Stacey Farquhar and her husband Stacy of Broomfield, CO ; a daughter Melissa Brown and her husband Raymond of Arvada, CO; a brother Donald T. Cornelius of Nathalie, VA; as well as his 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dick was predeceased by his daughter Catherine Cornelius.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Faith Church, 3920 S. Shields Street. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
