Richard "Rick(y)" Robert Boehler
Rick, known as "BOEHLER" to many around the Fort Collins community, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.
Rick was born on Sunday, March 19, 1950 in Rochester, New York to Richard Nelson Boehler and Marion Marie (Espe) Boehler.
Rick grew up in Rochester, New York, graduated from Edison High School, Class of 1968 and followed his parents to Colorado in 1971 to work at the Kodak Plant in Windsor in plant services.
Later Rick worked construction with Sinnett Builders where he helped build several projects in Fort Collins, the most significant of which were The Fort Collins Foothills Fashion Mall, Cinema Saver 6 and the Linden Hotel Renovation.
Rick was a prankster; he loved playing jokes on his family, whom he loved very much. He had a nickname for every family member and each person he came in contact with. Rick enjoyed listening to music and reading and his contagious personality will be dearly missed.
Rick enjoyed watching every sport and was a diehard Broncos and Rockies Fan. He was a simple man who had a heart of gold. Although he didn't have much, he would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard Nelson Boehler. He is survived by his long time partner, Cheryl Cordova, mother of their three daughters, Jennifer Montoya, Ashley Cordova, Brittany Boehler, and his seven grandchildren: Lucas Cordova, Arianna Cordova, Jena Cordova, Isiah Montoya, Alizah Montoya, Amare Hoskins and Evelyn Hoskins. He is also survived by his mother, Marion Boehler; brothers, Gary Boehler and Tom Boehler; sisters, Nancy Boehler and Kathi Boehler.
