Our beloved mother and grandmother has gone to her final resting place. Devoted in her strong faith, Reynalda was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Reynalda died July 14, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Reynalda was born Oct. 11, 1918, in Redwing, to Miguelita Archuleta and Thomas Salazar She married John R. Duran on Jan. 2, 1937, in Redwing. The family moved to Fort Collins in 1952. Reynalda enjoyed traveling, shopping, sewing, embroidery, and gardening. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was a caregiver and housekeeper. Reynalda was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brothers, Nedio, Albert, Benny, and Louis. She also lost two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Survivors include two sons, Louis Duran Helen, Gilbert Duran Chris; and daughters, Dinah Cordova Joe and Mildred Barella, all of Fort Collins; a daughter, Lucy Hernandez Jesus of Porter, Texas; sisters, Polly Mitotes, and Ernestine Trujillo; and a brother, Tommy Salazar of Colorado Springs. She had 31 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m., Friday, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Father Damian de la Cruz, C.R. will officiate at the services. Those who desire may view Mrs. Duran, between 12 and 4 p.m. on Thursda at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The family would like to especially thank the staff members of Sierra Vista Nursing Home for many years of care and the Hospice Team at McKee Medical Center.
