Reva Farrell

Reva P. Farrell of Fort Collins, formerly of LaPorte, died Aug. 30, 2006 at a local nursing home. Reva was born April 2, 1911, in Bladen, Neb. to Fred Delehoy and Pearl Shottenkirk. The Delehoy family relocated to LaPorte in 1919 and afterward lived on a farm in Bellvue. She graduated from Cache La Poudre High School. Reva married Roy E. GÇ£BillGÇ¥ Farrell on Nov. 28, 1934, in Fort Collins. She spent her life as a homemaker and took pride in keeping her home in LaPorte clean and in canning and preserving home grown fruits and vegetables. Reva was very active in her church and taught Sunday School for primary age children for over 40 years at the LaPorte Presbyterian Church, educating many of her nieces and nephews in her strong religious beliefs. She and Bill in later years were members of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Collins and active in Mariners. Reva was a member of the Church WomenGÇÖs Association and also served as a precinct committee woman and on the election board for the Republican party for many election years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents, three brothers, Glen, Raymond and Victor Delehoy; one sister, Alice Fisher, and an infant sister. She is survived by a sister, Una Ballard, of Denver; and 16 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will beheld at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
