Reuben Schneider passed away on September 23, 2009 at the Columbine Health and Rehab Center in Fort Collins. He was born in Loveland, December 1, 1914 to George and Katherine Schneider. Reuben was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine, of 65 years in 1996. They had wonderful years together, farming in the Timnath community and operating a sand and gravel business for nearly 45 years until they both retired. They built their retirement home in Fort Collins. Reuben was noted as a successful farmer and fed cattle, sheep and hogs. They both loved to travel in their motor home and had many friends to share their good times. Reuben golfed, loved to fish, and did many handicraft projects. He was always a care giver for relatives and friends. Reuben had eight brothers and sisters. Reuben is survived by a son, Ralph and his wife Natalie of Henderson, Nev., a sister Naomi Sciullo of Pittsburg, Pa., His grand daughter Jill Taylor and great grand daughter, Kerstin, live in Las Vegas, Nev. His caring niece Nancy Watkins lives in Fort Collins as well as his sister-in-law Alice Schneider. He has numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Graveside services are planned at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery, 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Immediately following the Graveside service everyone is invited to a reception at the Drake Center, 802 W. Drake.
