Ray Montoya died May 18, 2008, at Poudre Valley hospital. He was born in Fort Collins, Nov. 9, 1928. He married Andrea Rodriquez on Nov. 24, 1949. He lived in Fort Collins and worked as a truck driver for Don Ward and Sears. In 1947, he went to the semi-final regional championship boxing in the Class A division. He loved his 1957 Chevrolet, showing it frequently at car shows, fishing, hunting and his Rottweiler. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Andrea; six children, Margie Joe Espinosa, Juan Doriese Montoya, Mario Kathy Montoya, Andrea Frederick Hoyt, Linda Cleveland and Theresa Nunnally; 16 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. His parents, John and Margaret Montoya and his sister, Mary McCann, preceded him in death. Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. May 22. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. May 23, with military honors at Holy Family Catholic Church, 326 North Whitcomb Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ParkinsonGÇÖs Disease Foundation.
