Raschelle Shaffer

Raschelle "Shelly" Renee Shaffer, 15, of Fort Collins, died March 5, 2008 at Poudre Valley Hospital. Shelly was born Jan. 26, 1993, in Tucson, Ariz., and moved to Fort Collins when she was 2 months old. She was a ninth-grader at Preston Junior High School. In school, she loved science, math and reading. She loved her pets, her cousins, her friends and text messaging. She also will be remembered for her love of life. Survivors include her mother, Nancy K. Smith; a sister, Reba Jo Shaffer of Fort Collins; her grandparents, Ron and Pat Smith of Broomfield, and Judy and Ray Nauta of Wellington. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Canyon West Room at the Lincoln Center, 417 W.
