Randy Douglas Conder, 68, passed away at his home in Fort Collins, Colorado on August 27, 2022. Randy was born June 12, 1954, in Denver, Colorado, to Vaughn and Gertrude Conder.

Randy spent his early childhood in Denver, and Gilpin County, before moving with his parents to Phoenix, Arizona, where he attended Moon Valley High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1975 and served with the 581st Signal Company in Germany as a Strategic Microwave Systems Technician.

He was married to Patricia Emdryck in 1981, and later divorced. They had one son.

He went on to pursue a career as an electronics technician, working for various companies in the Phoenix and Denver areas. In 2005 he moved to Central City, then Blackhawk, CO where he worked as a Slot Technician and with Casino Security. He served on the Black Hawk Historic Preservation Commission from 2009 – 2013. He then moved to the Fort Collins area, where he enjoyed the love and support of family and friends in the area.

He loved music and spent much of his time playing guitar and keyboard, and he enjoyed creating compositions using electronic music synthesis.

Randy is survived by his son, Daniel J Conder of Kenosha, WI, and brothers John Hess of Strasburg, CO, and Thomas Hess of Cripple Creek, CO. He also leaves two Aunts, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him and will miss him very much.

Graveside services will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO on October 14, 2022, at 2:15 pm.


A graveside service with military honors will be held 2:15 pm, October 14, 2022 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard.
