Ralph Eugene West

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ralph Eugene West, who departed this life on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on Saturday, September 14, 1935, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Ralph was a cherished resident of Fort Collins, Colorado, where he lived a life rich with love, service, and dedication.

Ralph served his country with honor and distinction as a Sergeant in the United States Army. His commitment to serving others extended beyond his military service, touching the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known him. Ralph's sense of duty, compassion, and integrity were hallmarks of his character, and he will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Surviving Ralph is his daughter Robin Shutts and her husband Cliff of Wiggins, CO; three grandchildren, Jeremy Sharp and his wife Misty of San Tan Valley, AZ, Kyle West and his wife Raya of Lochbuie, CO, and granddaughter Taylor West of Thornton, CO; eight great-grandchildren Brittany, Erika, Jordan, Alyx, Trey, Kaden, Christopher, and Oliver.

Preceding Ralph in death are his parents Sylven E. West and Verla Johnson West; his wife Juanita L. West; a sister Beverley Bowles; his son Mark West, and two nephews Douglas Smith and Christopher Smith.

A graveside service with military honors will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Collins, Colorado, on Friday, November 8, 2024,

Ralph will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
