Rachel E. Whitman was born October 8, 1918 in Grover, CO. She was the daughter of Emanuel Roth and Katherine Nagel Roth. Rachel grew up on the farm and married Ruben Whitman on November 4, 1935. Rachel and Ruben lived in the Fort Collins, Greeley, Denver and Colorado Springs areas throughout their marriage. Rachel had a variety of jobs during her long life including farming, veterinary technician, cleaning hotel rooms, managing an apartment complex, working at Aims Community College, Micro Metals and even selling fruits and vegetables at the Farmer's market in her later years. Rachel was a hard worker with her primary goal in life to take care of her family. She loved to laugh and sing and was never too busy to share a hug or words of wisdom.

Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, Emanuel and Katherine; her eldest son, Jimmy; her grandson, Rickey Dilts; her husband, Ruben Whitman, and seven brother and sisters, Alex Roth
Emanuel Roth, Carl Roth, Mary Walters, Esther Miller, Edward Roth, and Sammy Roth.

Rachel is survived by her daughters, Donna Dilts of Colorado Springs, CO, Marylin Lightsey of Nathrop, CO, Nancy Green of Golden, CO, Patricia Olson of Lakewood, CO; and her son, Ronald Whitman of Scottsdale, Arizona. In addition Rachel is survived by 16 grandchildren, more than 24 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, Fort Collins, Colorado. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
