Phyllis (Danforth) Alcoke, age 86, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
She was born September 11, 1936 in Greenhills, Ohio and was the daughter of Alford and Evelyn (Sharp) Danforth. Phyllis was a graduate of the class of 1954 Greenhills Pioneers. After many years as a stay-at-home mom, she eventually found her way to serving as the Principal's Secretary at William Henry Harrison High School. She retired from WHHHS in 1997 after a long and happy career, and moved out west to begin a new chapter of her life with her childhood sweetheart, Don Alcoke. Phyllis loved being outdoors, she loved new adventures, and she loved her family. She'll be remembered as one who laughed often.
She is survived by her four children, Richard (Glenna) of Fairfield, Ohio, Myron (Pam) Harrison, Ohio, Kenny of West Chester, Ohio and Jenny Callahan (Phillip) of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandchildren include Patrick, Heather, Kevin, Jason, Jacob, Meggie, Molly, Corey, Patrick and Keegan. She also has numerous great grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, and her daughter, Karen.
