It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Philip Duane Martinez on January 30, 2022, at the age of 80. He passed away in his home in the presence of his loving family.

Philip was born in Fort Collins, CO on April 12, 1941. Philip is the son of Lee and Eva Martinez.

Philip is a Navy Veteran that -hello served from 1959 to 1963 where he was stationed in Japan.

After the service Philip owned A&A Repair and Remodeling. He retired from the Fort Collins Post Office after 30 years. Philip was involved in the American Legiohttps://www.halcyondcms.com/platinum/Clients/clientObituaryn Post 187 as well as the
Alonzo Martinez Scholarship Fund. Philip was known as a jack of all trades. He was the most generous man and would lend a helping hand to anyone who called on him.

His family was everything to him. He loved golfing, fishing, camping, and hunting. He enjoyed camping with his children as well as his many nieces and nephews. Phil and Carmen loved filling their home with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, You would always see him with a baby in his arms.

Philip married his wife Carmen Gallegos Martinez on December 7, 1968. They were married 53 years. Philip is survived by his wife, Carmen, six children. Eddie (Connie) Martinez, Yvonne (Mariano) Cruz, LeeAnn (Gabe) Marquez, Andrea (Daniel) Leal, Paula (James) Claycomb, Philip (Jennifer) Martinez. Philip has 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren on the way.

Philip is joining his son Richie Martinez in heaven as well as 2 angel great-grandbabies. To the greatest man we all know you will be truly missed and loved every day.

Viewing will be held 12-4 pm with the Rosary to follow at 6 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, military honors will follow the funeral mass. Immediately following the Mass everyone is invited to a dinner at Windsong Estate Event Center, 2901 Saddler Blvd., Severence, CO. Graveside Services will be held 10 am, Friday, February 11, 2022 at Grandview Cemetery.
