Peter Adrian Weber passed away early November 24th. He was born in Greenwich, NJ in 1957. Growing up along the Delaware Bay, he developed a passion for nature, which grew into a life-long passion for fishing. As a young man Pete moved to Fort Collins, CO, where he lived with his two older brothers in an old cabin along the Poudre River. For those who knew the Weber boys, their escapades and infamy will be long-remembered. Pete made his home in Fort Collins, where he met his future wife Jill while beginning his life-long career in the landscape sprinkler industry. He ultimately created his own business, Pureflow, specializing in backflow prevention testing and service. Pete was an avid traveler and perhaps most at home surrounded by nature. From Alaska to Mexico to the Rocky Mountains, Pete knew how to find the best spot to cast a line and the best place to have a drink after. With his loving family, Pete journeyed around the world - from England to Australia to Hawaii - soaking up the sights, exploring the new places, and making new friends wherever he went. Any time spent with Pete was an adventure. Pete loved his family fiercely, and his light always shone brightly at the sight of his children and his wife, and his much-loved family pets. He will be remembered for his unique laughter, his compassionate nature, his quick wit, and his wild sense of humor. Pete showed us all what a life worth living could be, and for those of us lucky enough to have known him, we will find solace remembering his outlandish stories and the wisdom he shared.
Pete leaves behind the three greatest loves of his life - his wife, Jill Handwerk, and his children, Emily and Elliot (Sarah). Along with countless others who were touched by his love, friendship, and kindness, he is also survived by his sister, Linda Raively (Jim); his brother, Jeff; his nephew, Derek (Alyssa); several nieces: Shelly, Christina (Jeremy), Kelsey (James), and Kerrye; and many great-nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Tom, Steve, and Rob Weber. His family will carry forth his remembrance by loving deeply and sharing in the spirit and joy that his life stood for. We will remember Pete in many of the places he loved best and feel his presence with us on the shores of his favorite fishing spots, in the flames of campfires, and at his favorite watering hole, the Town Pump surrounded by those we love.
