Peter Emanuel Ortiz was called home by the Holy Father at 1:10 AM, January 28, 2017,
attended by members of his family at Poudre Valley Hospital.
Born April 24, 1962, he was preceded in death by his father, Pete; his mother, Manuela (Nellie)
and sister, Lupe Fraley [John].
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Julia; sisters, Tillie Garcia [Frank], Cirilia Ortiz, Rita Ortiz, Ramona Robertson [Larry]; and brother, Thomas - as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind his well-loved pet and constant companion: Truffles.
Peter was a graduate of Rocky Mountain High School and the Denver Institute and was employed as an electronics technician by many local businesses.
Peter could be as good humored or as rambunctious as any member of the Ortiz/Garcia clan as the situation called for. He was noted for his gentle kindness and loyal friendships. Family members and friends will all have many a tale to recount in his memory and he will be sorely missed by all.
The family would like to thank the medical staff at Poudre Valley Hospital including ICU for the care and comfort given to Pete. Thanks also to the many people who offered prayers and support; it is very much appreciated.
