Paul David Cross
6/22/77 – 10/3/2025

Paul was born to Diane and Hal Cross on June 22nd, 1977, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Paul was 48 years young when he passed away after enduring a lengthy illness and complications from surgery.
Paul lived in Fort Collins for his entire life.

His favorite pastimes were playing video games and gaming with his friends Tara, Al and Nicole once a week. On Fridays he loved watching Anime with a group of friends online. He was also a great fan of Star Wars.

Paul will be remembered for his kindness, sarcastic sense of humor, and wonderful smile. He was also very intelligent and loved to banter with his brother Brad at family gatherings. They were 22 months apart in age with different personalities but always enjoyed each other's company.

Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents, JoAnn and Donald Cannon, and Marilyn Petrocco (great aunt).

He is survived by his mother Diane Idler and father Darwin Idler, brother Brad Cross, the Berger family, Terri (aunt), TS (uncle), and Jeffrey (cousin), Cheryl Beery (aunt), the Cannon family, Jeff (uncle), Diane (aunt), Ryan (cousin), and Tiana (cousin), the VanGalder family, Erin (cousin), Kevin, and daughters Peyton and Ryleigh, and Jerry Petrocco (great uncle).

Memories shared from Terri, TS, and Cheryl:

Paul was a true Renaissance Man because of his many talents. He was kind, unbelievably smart about everything that ranged from trivia, film, and novels to art, pop culture and topics anyone brought up in conversation. He was quick witted, engaging, artistic, and had a sparkle in his eye when he was teasing you. In short, he was special. He put up with his aunts serenading him and was known to say, "Oh, gawd…" when he heard a ridiculous remark or a story when we recalled moments from his youth while rolling his eyes. He particularly loved the Hershey's kiss story when we took him to the movies and bought him candy. His uncle asked for a kiss, meaning the candy, but Paul gave him a kiss. His aunt took Paul and his brother, Brad, to the library as youngster. Paul checked the same book out over and over. It was about the planets. These are memories we will have forever of our Tall Paul. Our grief is deep and overwhelming, but we feel we are better people because we loved Paul and was his family.

Winnie the Pooh quotation:

"If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever."
Paul will always be in our hearts.
