Patricia Ann Thoen

Patricia Ann Thoen, 76, of Fort Collins, died May 1, 2010 in Fort Collins. Pat was born January 7, 1934 in Fort Collins to Charlie and Gertrude ?Wyatt? Ahrens. Patricia married her best friend and love of her life, Orlo A. Thoen on August 16, 1953 in Fort Collins. Pat and Orlo were high school sweethearts at Laporte High School and were married 57 years. She lived her whole life here in the Fort Collins area. She dearly loved spending time with her family, and having a hot cup of tea with her neighbors. Pat also enjoyed gardening, playing board and card games, Tuesday shopping with friends, pinochle nights, going to the cabin, and wintering in their motor home with their Kearny, Arizona friends. Survivors include her husband, Orlo; daughter, Cyndee Durand of Fort Collins; son, Jeff Thoen of California; brother, Donald Ahrens of Fort Collins; Six grandchildren, Ashlee, Hailee and Conner Durand and Kashala, Brady, and Jayce Thoen; and three great-grandchildren. Preceding Pat in death are her two sons, Randy and Rick Thoen. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 531 South College Ave on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Grandview Cemetery. Rev. Robert Geller will officiate the service. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Patricia Ann Thoen Memorial Fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
