Patricia Mondragon, 51, of Wellington, CO, left this earth on June 18, 2013 to find her place in the house of the Lord after a very long struggle with her health. Patricia was born in Denver, Co to Joe G. Mondragon & Cecilia E. Mondragon on February 2, 1962. She was raised here in Fort Collins until the family moved to Phoenix, AZ in June of 1973. After 10 years in Phoenix, the family moved back here to the Fort Collins area. Patricia is survived by her 2 sons, Angelo Korena and Matthew Jordain , one granddaughter, Leandra and one on the way, that sadly she did not get to meet. Her mother, Cecilia, her brothers; Joseph Olga, Andrew Julie & Robert Linda, her sisters KathyJoe Lucero & Theresa Florez, all of Fort Collins. Numerous nieces & nephews, Aunts & Uncles, cousins & very special friends. All of whom she loved very much. Patricia graduated high school in Phoenix and continued her education to get her Associates degree in Computer Information Systems with a Cisco certification and an Associates in Accounting degree. Her last place of employment before she was unable to work any longer was for New Horizons Travel in their accounting office. Patricia was a member of Holy Family Church and Alonzo Martinez American Legion Post 187 Auxiliary. She would never say no when asked to volunteer for an event for either place. And she loved being able to help out. Patricia was a very proud mother to her boys. She raised them both by herself, also caring for cousin Eric Maxwell, Jr. There was nothing she would not do for them. She worked hard to give them all that she could. They were definitely her priority in life.
Prior to her illness, Patricia loved dancing, playing softball & volleyball, singing, and traveling. In her travels, she visited Cancun & Xtapa, Mexico, Boston, Ground Zero, Nassa Island, the Bahamas, and she visited both Disneyland & Disney World with her family. She also loved watching the Bronco games and the Rockies games. She loved to have her family & friends over to her house for dinner, to watch movies or just to visit. She loved having all the children at her house. She was always the one that brought the softball equipment to the family events and insisted that everyone join in, young & old. It was always a great time. Patricia will truly be missed by all who new her. We love you Patricia / Mom! Rest in Peace!
