Patricia O. Madson

Patricia O. Madson, 74, of Fort Collins, died July 1, 2012 at Poudre Valley Hospital. Patricia was born December 6, 1937 in Minot, North Dakota to Bert X. and Anna Marie Questad Olson. Patricia earned her PhD at CSU when living in Fort Collins from 1966 to 1978. Later she served as a Statistical Demographer with the U.S. Census Bureau. She retired in Washington, D.C. and then returned to Colorado in 1996. She enjoyed art, drawing, and pastels, collecting pottery, crocheting, quilting, riding horses, and especially time spent with family and friends at her cabin. Survivors include her daughters, Karin Madson of Fort Collins, Lise Yervasi of Baker City, Oregon and Sonja Madson of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; sisters, Faye Dorwart of Fort Collins and Mary Olson-Baich of Los Altos, California; and five grandchildren. Preceding Patricia in death are her parents, Bert and Anna Olson. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Pastor Paul McGraw will officiate.
