Patricia Anne Kenney

Patricia Anne Meisenbach Kenney 1928-2014 Mrs. Kenney passed away in the early morning hours of April 27, 2014, at home, surrounded by her family, after a valiant, eight year battle with cancer. Mrs. Kenney was born to Leo Meisenbach, Sr. and Bess Meisenbach on January 26, 1928. She graduated from St. Cecilia's High School in 1945. She married Robert Kenney in 1948. To this union, three children were born, Sandra, Jo, and Susan. The family moved to Fort Collins in 1962 after having lived in numerous locations due to Mr. Kenney's career. Mrs. Kenney's interests and passions centered around her family, and her friends. Apart from being an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother; she enjoyed baking, sewing, playing bridge, football, camping in their motor home, wintering in Arizona, politics, reading, and happy hour. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; her daughter, Sandra; all four of her siblings, Leo Meisenbach Jr., Robert Meisenbach, Jean Meisenbach, and William Meisenbach. She is survived by her daughters, Jo Jerry McDonnell of Fort Collins, Susan Kenney of Fort Collins; grandchildren, Michelle Allen Schell of Fort Collins, Charlie Heather Poole of Casper, Katie Tim Bland of Littleton and Jon McDonnell of Denver; great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Gwendolyn, and Henry Schell, Abbey Poole, and Eddie Bland; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Kenney Haarberg of Dallas, Diane Meisenbach of Hastings, and Mary Sue Meisenbach of Minden; numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friends that she made over her lifetime. The Family wishes to express their deep gratitude to the medical staff that took such wonderful care of her over these last eight years. Specifically Dr. Susie Klinger, Dr. Miho Toi Scott, and Pathways Hospice. A recitation of the Rosary will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins at 7 pm. A requiem mass will be conducted on Friday, May 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fort Collins at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Father Donald Willette and the Reverend Father Steven Voss officiating. Charitable donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Larimer County Humane Society, or Pathways Hospice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
