Patricia Lee Jan

Patricia "Pat" L. Jan, age 76, went into the loving embrace of her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 25, 2018, in Fort Collins, Colorado. She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Kenneth D. Jan of Fort Collins, Colorado and her two "favorite" daughters, Janelle Jan Brunin and Janette Jan Dickey (John) both of Fort Collins, Colorado and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Erica Jean Brunin of Palmdale, California, Alexander "Alex" Michael Andrews (Amie) of Loveland, Colorado and Edward "Eddie" Allen Andrews of Longmont, Colorado. Pat was welcomed into heaven by those preceding her in eternal life, her father, Uel Lee Kirkpatrick, her mother, Hazel Dora Kirkpatrick, her sister, Gertrude Clarke (Floyd), her brother Fred "Bud" Koehler, and her nephew Tommy Koehler.

Patricia was born in Denver, Colorado on April 7, 1941 to parents Hazel and Uel Kirkpatrick. She graduated from North High School in 1959. She worked hard in the banking industry until 2014. She was an intelligent and devoted employee and worked her way from bank teller and secretary to the pinnacle of her career as Senior Vice President of Home State Bank in Loveland and Fort Collins, Colorado. She was well respected in both the banking and legal communities.

Pat was a pioneering, progressive, modern woman. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping but could put on a business suit, paint her fingernails and dress like a lady. She loved her mountains and her "big house" in Livermore, Colorado where she made lasting memories for all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of the special life she lived. After retirement, she traveled internationally with her daughters and all over the United States and Mexico in her motorhome enjoying many years of adventure being a "snow bird" with her husband and chauffer Ken Jan. She loved two things most in her life: her family and her career. The loss of this bright and shining example of a strong, intelligent woman with a big, big heart have left an indelible mark on this world.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, Fort Collins, Colorado with a reception to follow. John Terpstra (Retired) will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pat Jan's extraordinary life.
