Patricia M. Conner, 80, died Aug. 15, 2006, at the home of her daughter in Fort Collins. Patty was born in Houtzdale, Pa., on May 5, 1926, to Arthur and Genevieve Conner. Patty grew up in Altoona, Pa., and Curwensville, Pa., and graduated from Curwensville High School, Class of 1944, and the Altoona School of Commerce. She spent her married years raising her seven children in Brookville, Osceola Mills and then in Curwensville. She was active in St. Timothy's Altar and Rosary Society, the Women's Club and volunteering at the Curwensville Library. After her children were grown, she worked for Carfley's Clothing Store and then the Curwensville Library. After retiring, Patty lived near her family in Houston, Prairie Village, Kan., and then Fort Collins, where she was a resident of "Reflections" since its opening. She loved to travel and visited many states and European countries. She enjoyed the theater and music, especially jazz and blues in Kansas City. Spending time with family was the most important thing in her life. She will be missed by those who survive her: her sister, Shirley Coughlin, of Norwood, Mass.; and her brother, Arthur Conner, of Port Saint Lucie, Fla. She is also survived by her loving children, Thomas N. Bloom Chris, of Wilmington, N.C., Cynthia Spencer Edwin, of Fort Collins, Patricia Rich Lewis, of London, England, Gary Bloom, of Crown Point, Ind., Douglas Bloom, of Prairie Village, Kan., and David Bloom, of Bethel Park, Pa. She is also survived by the following grandchildren: Scott Spencer, Timothy Bloom, Drew, Adam and Megan Lewis and Alex Bloom. She was preceded in death by her parents; her children's father, Thomas J. Bloom; and her son, Dennis J. Bloom. In lieu of flowers, send donations in her name to the Curwensville Library, 605 Beech St., Curwensville, PA 16833 or Hospice of Larimer County, Building Fund, Fort Collins, CO 80525. A mass in her honor will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 23 at St. Timothy's Church, Curwensville, Pa. Please direct inquiries to William C. Williams Funeral Home, Curwensville, Pa.
