Opal Foxworthy

Opal Foxworthy passed away peacefully on September 3, 2015. She was 94 years old. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Foxworthy, and is survived by her three children, Karren Vitt, Ron Foxworthy, and Connie Emery. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Allen and Brian Vitt, Lisa Daugherty and Jaime Davis, Ashley and Ryan Emery, and by her great grandchildren, Ethan, Brooke and Luke Vitt, Keegan and Kyleigh Daugherty, and Courtney and Justin Davis.

Opal served her country during WWII by building aircraft engines in California. She served her community of Fort Collins, Colorado by being a teacher's aide until her retirement, and then continued serving her neighborhood by pursuing her passion of gardening, creating an oasis of beauty for all to see.

Services to celebrate her life will be held on October 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bohlender Funeral Chapel in Fort Collins, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in her honor to the Villas at Sunny Acres Foundation.
