Diane Morison Lasch
Born Olivia Diana Love,
Diane(a) (Love/Miller) Morison Lasch was born in Vallejo California on November 4, 1943. Her family then re-located to San Francisco. She would go on to attend Galileo High School, San Francisco CA, where she graduated Spring Class of 1961. In 1973 Diane relocated to San Diego California, now married to John A Morison Jr, with 2 boys in tow, John A. Morison IV and Gavin A. Morison.

She was employed as a teller in Kearney Mesa at California Canadian Bank, before transitioning to her true calling. Helping those in need or less fortunate, she took on a position for approximately 10 years as the "Face" of Travelers Aid, funded and employed by the United Way at San Diego's International Airport, Lindberg Field. She would handle all of the Airports paging, answering visiting travelers questions, of any and all type, in addition to helping and 'housing" the occasional wayward traveler. She would always find solutions, even when facing, the most challenging of situations. During her tenure at San Diego Airport, shed also volunteer, working weekend, evening concessions at San Diego's temporary outdoor Old Globe Theater, while the burned down Old Globe was restored and rebuilt. She'd eventually move to Mammoth Lakes, CA, in the fall of 1988, where her true passion for the mountains and Great Outdoors would develop into a lifelong endeavor, to enjoy and protect as well as speak up and out, about Nature and all its splendors.

While living in Mammoth Lakes as well as Colorado, she took great pride in hosting Holiday gatherings, often feeding 15-25, family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances, providing her warm home, unconditional love, companionship, plus a warm delicious meal with all the fixings! Always, making sure that all felt welcome and had a place to go, for a "Home Cooked" Holiday meal, so as to not have to spend it alone. She was a lover and defender of all creatures great and small, and lived a rich, full life, at her home in Glacier View Meadows, Livermore Colorado from 1998-2023. She was an avid photographer, with over 10,000+ pictures documenting her life, living with wild life, on Manhead Mountain, in the Glacier View Meadows subdivision in Colorado.

Diane supported her local volunteer and surrounding fire departments, with meals during the many fires in the area. Diane and husband Jim loved to volunteer at Cheyenne Frontier Days and really enjoyed helping out with the Wings Over Warren Air Show. She never knew a stranger, always stepping up to help anyone, anytime, with anything, in a time of need.

She was a true believer in Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, attending Morningstar Church in Red Feather Lakes, CO. She lovingly and truly enjoyed sharing and spreading words of wisdom from her bible.

Diane was preceded by her mother Maudine Miller and father Earl W. Miller. She is survived by husband James E. Lasch and her 2 sons John Morison of NC and Gavin Morison of CO.

In honor and recognition of Diane, consider making a donation to Larimer County Animal Shelter or your own local animal shelter.
