Olive Bell Morgan, 85, of Fort Collins, died Nov. 17, 2007, at Poudre Valley Hospital. Mrs. Morgan was born Jan. 12, 1922, in Irondequoit, N. Y. to Arthur Garfield Bell and Olive Brasser Bell. Olive served in World War II in the Women's Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945. After World War II, Olive worked for the Travelers Aid Society in Shreveport, La. Mrs. Morgan moved 20 years ago to Fort Collins, after working for many years at Barksdale Federal Credit Union in Shreveport, La. Olive was a member at First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading and Sunday drives with the Fort Collins Senior Center. Olive was very involved at the Senior Center and volunteered for almost 20 years with the Fort Collins Utility Department. Survivors include her two children, Michael Armstrong and his wife, Nancy of Boynton Beach, Fla, and Janice Armstrong of Denver; a sister, Gertrude Heffer of Rochester, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Sarah Groves and Jonathan and David Armstrong; and two great-grandchildren, Cordelia and Ariela Armstrong. Preceding Olive in death are her parents, two brothers and two sisters. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Richard McDermott will officiate at the service. Memorial contributions may be made to United Service Organization in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO 80524.
