Norma Lea Baird

Norma Lea Baird passed away May 24, 2010 with her family by her side. She was born to Arthur and Erna Scheidegger on February 2, 1925 in Viona, Colorado. Norma was one of six children. Norma graduated from Flagler High School. She married William H. Baird in Atwood, Kansas on April 5, 1942 and moved to Fort Collins in 1950. Norma worked at the Coloradoan and retired from Colorado State University as an accountant. After retirement she was a volunteer at Neighbor to Neighbor. Survived by her children, Jackie David Kinnison, Delmar Marilyn Baird, and Albert Baird Lonetta all of Fort Collins; four grandchildren, Tami William Pierson, Kisti Paul Thrasher, Michael Kayla Baird and Michelle Terry Tanner; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Scheidegger Nancy; two brothers-in-law, Perry Mott, Eldon Cooper and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Norma in death are her husband, William Baird in July 1980, grandson, Thomas James Baird; sisters, Anna May Harrison, Roberta "Jean" Caldwell, MaryJo Cooper and Audrey Mott. A Memorial Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 5 at 2:00 p.m. A Private Interment will be held at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery. Pastor Paul McGraw will officiate at the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Pathways Hospice or charity of choice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Ft.
