Nora Mary Castellanos was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world after an extended illness on April 17, 2021 at age 89.
Nora was born to Vitalia and Joseph E. Trujillo on April 11, 1932. She married the love of her life, Joe (Jess) Castellanos, Jr. on November 25, 1951. Together they had 3 lovely children: Eugene, Barbara and Diane. She greatly loved her family and sister Cora and her two nephews, Sam Trujillo Sr. and Joe Dominguez Jr. She had two wonderful God son's Michael Rodriguez and Bill Dominguez. Nora and Jess had many other loved ones that they both cherished, making their marriage and lives together full and complete.
Nora spent many years devoted to the upbringing of her children and care of her loving family. She gained strength from her faith and love for her Lord and Savior and encouraged the same in her loved ones. Her church family was a major part of her social circle and she enjoyed her commitment to the efforts of her church, including fundraising and special events/activities. She enjoyed making tamales with her friends to raise funds for the church. They produced some delicious tamales for our community and built great friendships. Nora was committed to the success of her church. Throughout the years, she held different positions in her church, including Secretary, Treasure, and District Officer. Aside from the business of the church, she also enjoyed reading and singing in church. Her faith, prayers, and love carried her through her blessed life.
Nora's excellent organizational skills, patience, and friendly character led her to being a Manager for Gameson Leather Goods, a top Sales Associate for JCPenny's, and a successful CNA for several local nursing facilities. Nora and Jess together enjoyed church and family projects, fishing, and camping in their motorhome. As a result, they built and enjoyed a long lasting marriage together. Nora was a native of Fort Collins and loved living in Colorado.
