Nina Lou Thompson passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 at the age of 78. She was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on April 24, 1939 to Joe and Gladys Davidson. Nina moved to Fort Collins in 1972, which she called her home. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Jordan; 4 children, Sheri Hagemeister, Tim Thompson (wife, Jane Williams), Scott Thompson (wife, Rebecca), Todd Thompson (wife, Jodi); 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Nina found a love and talent for sewing, thanks to her father. When she and her sister were in high school he decided he wasn't going to buy school clothes and they'd start making their own. Nina truly enjoyed sewing. Shortly after moving to Fort Collins she opened a fabric store and shared her talent with others, teaching classes.
Nina loved to travel the world with friends and family.
She was the perfect mother in her love for her family, never judgmental, always supportive. She put not only the needs of her family first, but needs of friends and strangers alike. She was one of the most unselfish people a person could know. Laughing came quick and easy for her, and she rolled with life's punches with such beautiful grace. Being with her was simply easy.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Friends may send condolences to the family at bohlenderfuneralchapel.com.
