Nida I. Ahlbrandt, 96, of Wellington, died June 26, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was born Dec. 3, 1908, at a farm home north of Fort Collins to Walter Wood and Emily Parr Wood. Her parents came from Devonshire, England. Nida was the youngest of nine children and the last living. As a child she lived near Lindenmeier Lake. Later the family moved to a farm north of Wellington. She graduated from Wellington High School in 1927, and was the last surviving member of her class. Nida Wood married Fred W. Ahlbrandt on Aug. 7, 1937. Her husband passed away April 23, 1963. She was a devoted mother and wife. One son, Fred Ahlbrandt, of Wellington, and many nieces and nephews survive her. A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wellington Community Church, 8445 N. Third St., Wellington. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery. Pastor Dan P.
