Nicole Allison Nees, MA, LPC, LAC, PhD, was a loving wife, aunt, sister, daughter and scholar, who touched the lives and hearts of many people and animals. On November 22nd, 2018, Thanksgiving Day, Nicole was tragically taken from us. The pain of her loss lingers but we have hope that we will be reunited again someday. Nicole was fun loving, adventurous, had a mischievous sense of humor, a fashionable charm, an animal lover and a distinctive fondness for forming deep meaningful relationships. Nicole was a woman of grace and intellect, very passionate about academic excellence and professional development. Her academic pursuits greatly shaped most of her career goals, interests, ambitions, life's work and legacy. We honor and celebrate the life, community impact, social advocacy, multicultural engagement, and numerous outstanding achievements and laurels of a star that touched us all in unforgettable ways. Nicole embraced love, life and the innate good of mankind. Her dreams, visions and tireless work for a better society were cut short too soon with her untimely departure. Our celebration of her life and the legacy she leaves behind are echoed in the everlasting memories we will have of Nicole. Nicole leaves behind her loving husband Victor, siblings Riki & Jack, in-laws Gertrude, David, Fred, mother Julie, her dear cat Vini and a loving network of friends and work colleagues at the Community Reach Center where she was Clinical Program Manager up until the time of her passing. Nicole came to love travelling in her adult years and there was an indescribable joy that she experienced on flights to Europe in particular. Her favorite places included dining in Rome-Italy, Dublin-Ireland, and countryside and city life Christmas vacations in England. Nicole loved fashion and makeup and worked hard to buy herself some of the top brands and trade lines and loved receiving them as gifts. She took great pride in her collections and never stopped collecting them. Nicole broke down barriers, changed mindsets, shattered glass ceilings, exceeded excellence, lived, loved, left something of her behind for all of us. We love you. We thank you for sharing you with us. Till we meet again in heaven. Sleep well, in perfect peace.
