Nicholas Paul Daley, 73, of Colorado, passed away on November 21, 2025. Born in 1952, in Youngstown, OH, he was a devoted husband and a proud and loving father and grandfather.
Nick was hard-working and dedicated. He spent his working life as a commercial architect, where he was known for his skill, creativity, and work ethic. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and passions. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He shared his love for fly-fishing with his friends and family. Later in life, he became an artist and shared his work with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Malmquist; his children, Dennis Daley and Beth Payne; his step-daughters, Keira Bacon and Kalli Pezel; and his grandchildren, Ella Payne, Clare Payne, Reece Pezel, Conor Bacon, and Leena Pezel; his brothers, Ralph and Larry Daley, as well as many friends and extended family members.
We find comfort in knowing Nick's legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love and passions he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. A Celebration of Life will be held on the last weekend in June, 2026. This celebration will include fly-fishing and sharing of memories and stories by friends and family. More details will follow.
