Neva Beatty passed away on January 8, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born to "Kitty" and Orville Traver on April 21, 1915 in Sioux City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her sister, Arvilla Curati; her brothers, Maurice and Lee Traver; and their parents. She married Charles "Chuck" Beatty in Sioux City, Iowa on June 11, 1940. After Chuck was discharged from the Army they moved to Fort Collins to raise their family. Neva worked at Woodward Governor and Waterpik as a parts inspector for most of her career. After retirement she and Chuck traveled to every state and to Canada and Mexico in their motor home, often spending the winter in Texas. As a widow Neva took several tours to Europe and a trip to Australia. She enjoyed collecting memorabilia from her trips and sharing travel experiences with her Grandsons. Neva is survived by her son, Douglas Beatty of Omaha, Nebraska; her daughter and son-in-law, Lola and Adrian Logsdon of Fort Collins; her four grandsons, Todd Logsdon Michelle, "Rusty" Logsdon Laura, all of Los Angeles, California, Reagan Logsdon of Seattle, WA, and David Beatty of Dodge City, Kansas; as well as three great-grandchildren, Brady Logsdon, Paris Logsdon, and Elvis Logsdon, of Los Angeles, California. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
